Women’s Ministry

Women’s Ministry

Our theme for Women’s Ministry this year is Worthy Indeed!

We will put a confident stamp of approval on the truths that God is, first of all, worthy of our devotion, service, and testimony. And though we many be inclined to doubt it as women, we are worthy to be loved and worthy of His grace because He has declared it so! Therefore, we are eager and worthy students of His Word as instruction for our lives and, finally, we know the meaningful calling God has for us is worthy not just in word, but in deed!

Who We Are

Our desire is that all we do together as sisters in Christ will elevate our response to the world. May we bring peace and light and love and hope and truth to those who are in desperate need. To that end, all of our special events will be a sure place to come and be encouraged and to bring a friend who needs a healing balm.

We are an authentic faith community where real women really love each other.

Together, we Connect and Grow through study, prayer and encouragement, and we Impact our families, community and the world through God-centered service.

See the Women’s Ministry Calendar or our Women’s Word Newsletter for more information about what’s coming up in Women’s Ministry.

Life Groups for Women

Life Groups for Women revolve around studying the Bible as we do life together as women. Life Groups begin in September and January each year. We have daytime and evening groups throughout the week. We also have a more casual study during the summer.

Events & Activities

Social and Support Groups

Single Moms Group: Parenting alone is tough – and when you have to do it by yourself it’s even harder. If you’re a single mom, please find strength and encouragement and maybe a few how to’s. Enjoy a meal and fellowship with mom’s walking the same road. For more information and to register, please click here.

Deployed but Not Alone: Military families, even though your family is facing deployment, you don’t have to face it alone. Let ACC support you and your family by connecting you with “adopted grandparents” who can provide prayer, meals, community, childcare and weekly encouragement for both you and your children during this deployment. Retirees, you can help support our troops by adopting a little home troop of your own while a serviceman is on deployment and apart from his family. Share a little bit of your time and support to help a parent flying solo for a term. Click here to sign up.

Mom to Moms Group: Calling all moms of preschoolers! Come join us for a morning to be encouraged and loved by “graduated” moms while your kids are loved and cared for! We all need a break! Don’t miss this great group of moms! Click here to register.

Table Talk: Table Talk is an easy and informal way to connect with other ACC women. Table Talk groups are made of up 4-5 women who meet (at least) monthly over coffee or meal to form friendships and encourage one another. Click here to sign up.

Single Sisters: Single Sisters is a group for senior single, widowed or divorced women.  They meet together to support each other, pray together, laugh together, and create lasting friendships. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 1-3pm at ACC.

Sisters in Stitches: Sisters in Stitches gets together monthly to provide a fun, encouraging environment to work on various sewing projects: crotchet, knitting, embroidery, hand applique or anything else.  Bring your own project and work on it while visiting with other ladies.  All ages are welcome.
